I realize I never talk about anything real on here anymore, but whatevs. I'm boring.

So I just watched the third Pirates of the Caribbean movie, and holy crap that shit is sad. I won't ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it, but it's pretty depressing. That's kind of why I hate franchises, because they take something that starts out really fun and simple make it all dark and complicated and depressing and then kill everyone. Same with HP, though I do love me some Potter. It was a pretty good movie though. I enjoyed it more than the second one, though the first is still my fave.

I also started reading Atonement. I didn't care for the movie as much as some people, just because I felt like they didn't take enough time to establish characters and their relationships and then I was supposed to care and be sad for them, and I just wasn't. I concluded that that was something that was just lost in translation from page to screen so I decided to pick up the book, and I was right. The book is soooo much better. So far, anyway. McEwan does a lot as far as character development, because he is very detailed about their thoughts and history. Like the scene in where Briony goes and thrashes as the nettles in the field, he actually explains why she does that in the book, and it's very smart and interesting. Anyway, I guess all I'm trying to say is I like it a lot so far. I'm so glad I'm back to reading again, I haven't read a good book in a long time and I miss it so. I looooooove to read, man!

Also, I watched all of the episodes of that show "Secret Diary of a Call Girl", which is actually a British show that is now playing on Showtime. I love it. It reminds me of the first season of Sex and the City, but sluttier. I love slutty things, I can't help it :)
Can't wait for the second season, since there were only 8 freakin episodes in this one.

So how are you, loves?

"95 bottles of beer on the wall..95 bottles of beer..." [

Ok, so sorry for a blatantly drunk post, but it seems alcohol is the only inspiration I can get to post on this wretched old journal that no-one comments on anyway.

I was away for a little while because I was in Florida, but, let's not kid ourselves, I probably wouldn't have commented on most journals anyway, even if I was here. I'm sorry, but I am just entirely to lazy and uninterested to read every entry and come up with something worthwhile to comment. And you all must have some sort of sympathy, since many of you don't comment on my entries, either! Don't worry, I'm not upset at all. I completely understand, in fact. Anyway, if it's any consolation, even though I don't comment, like, ever, I do read...Yeah, I didn't think it would be. If I'm being totally, ocmpletely honest, the only thing I still use this for is icons, but, even that seems to be turning out to be a bust, since no-one gives a shit about those, neither! lol.

OK, so the rest of this post will be a whole lot of randomness, since I am in no state to craft a clever, coherent entry that is worth your time, so....yeah.

Has anyone seen any videos from Britney Houston on Youtube? If your answer is no, look her up, and you'll thank me...They're quite hilarious....Also, while you're there, you might want to look up Beyonce falling flat on her face. Hurry! Before her record company takes them all down.

I really want to se Hairspray and La Vie En Rose...If anyone has seen either, your thoughts?

And the new Harry Potter book is brilliant so far...Sorry for the whole "kick" I'm on, but, it happens everytime I a new movie comes out...

Anyway, that's all. Bless your saintly heart if you actually read through all that rubbish...which I'll probably delete in shame later, anyway..

Peace

I <3 Harry Potter [

Saw HP at midnight last night. It was the first time I've done that. Some people were dressed up, and I'm sorry, but I think that is so dorky! It's kinda cute though, My friend Ranjana dressed up, but her outfit was kinda sexy so I approved. It was kind of annoying because I pretty much hate kids my age, they're so obnoxious, and this bitch behind me kept putting her feet on my chair. I was so pissed, I had to tell her three times not to, and not nicely.

The movie, though, was fucking phonomenal. I have not enjoyed a Harry Potter movie that much since the first one. Imelda frickin Staunton really needs to be nominated for an Academy Awards. That bitch was FIERCE! I love actors who are good at being evil, and she rocked that movie. Oh, and umm, when did Daniel Radcliffe become A) HOT and B)a good actor. He really impressed me.y I can see him being really successful in movies after Harry. And even though Emma Watson might be the worst actor of the three, I can't help loving her, she's so damn cute, and I just love Hermione's character, always have. They really need to keep that director. The cinematography was just excellent, and I don't know, I just feel like it was very well-directed. I guess I don't know enough about film to say why, but I just know it was :D. I'm not even gonna lie, I cried a few times during it. Not that that's surprising, since I cry at everything, but yeah.

I can't believe Hary Potter is ending!!! That is just so..I don't know. I really remember when Harry Potter books first came out. Like, my generation seriously grew up with HP, and it's ending. it's the end of an era. I don't know, I just feel really emotional about it for soem reason. And i just graduated high school, it's like evry day childhood gets farther and farther away from me, and now Harry?!...:sigh:

I'm gonna go take a nap. TTFN!

"But most of all, I'm here!" [

So I just got back from New York city, and we had an amazing time. We did some shopping and walking around yesterday. I bought some nice clothes and went to Barbie's dollhouse at Toy's R Us! Oh, and had the best Chicken Parm ever at Carmine's. Mmm, love me some good Italian.

I saw The Color Purple today (my graduation present), and oh my God...It was breathtaking. I've seen a good number of shows in my time, but this was the best thing I've ever seen. Gorgeous, beautiful, inspring piece of theatre. And Fantasia, was ridiculous. From the very first moment she opened her mouth to sing I started crying. During her big second-act showstopper I was sobbing. I'm not kidding. It wasn't just one of those quiet, theatre, tearing up cries, I literally had to sgtop myself from gasping and heaving. I'm sorry Jennifer Hudson, but, And I Am Telling...Who?? Just unbelieveable. But really, the entire cast was incredible, and I went to the stage door and met and took pictures with the women who played Sofia and Shug Avery and they were extremely nice(Fantasia didn't come out). I want to tell everyone about this show. Black, white, green, blue, male, female. You will not leave that theatre untouched.

Here's the pictures we took...I don't blame you if you're not interested, since you most likely have never hard of either of these ladies :DCollapse )
